CALLED TO WELCOME, SERVE, AND WALK IN FAITH
At the 9:00 AM Mass on August 9, the members of the Greeters and Collectors Ministry, headed by Che Avellana, were commissioned to serve the parish community with welcoming hearts and generous hands. The commissioning was presided over by our parish priest, Rev. Fr. Dennis G. Tamayo, CMF.
In the Gospel, Jesus calls His disciples to have courage and faith as they journey with Him, even when the path is uncertain. In much the same way, our Greeters and Collectors are called not simply to perform a task, but to become welcoming faces of our parish: helping others feel at home, creating an atmosphere of prayer, and serving with love.
May their ministry be a joyful expression of faith in action, always guided by Mama Mary’s loving example of humble and generous service. May they continue to welcome every person who enters our church as a brother or sister in Christ.
