Gathered in Prayer, Guided by Mary
On September 5, 2026, the parish family of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish gathered for Sábado Ko, Kay Maria, the parish’s monthly devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Due to the inclement weather, the planned Lakbay Maria dawn procession was unable to proceed. Instead, the image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary was prayerfully accompanied from the Old Capitol Site (OCS) BEC. At the home of Ate Flora, those who were able to gather offered a farewell prayer before the image began its journey to the parish, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Dennis G. Tamayo, CMF.
The image was then brought to the parish aboard the parish’s L300 vehicle, ensuring its safe and reverent journey. The morning devotion continued with the Holy Rosary and Lauds (Morning Prayer), followed by the 6:30 AM Holy Mass, celebrated by Rev. Fr. Julius Boado, CMF. The celebration concluded with the Novena and Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
A joyful salo-salo followed the celebration, after which the image was reverently transferred to the Pechayan BEC, where it will continue its month-long pilgrimage among the Basic Ecclesial Communities.
The morning concluded with the Sambata Gathering and Holy Mass, presided over by Rev. Fr. Ronnie Banaria, CMF, with our young parishioners.
There were no afternoon activities as the parish community focused on the final preparations for the Solemn Dedication of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Church and Altar on September 7, a historic milestone in the life of the parish.
Though the dawn procession was unable to proceed as planned, the journey of Mary among our communities continued. In the simplicity of a farewell prayer, a shared journey, and a gathering at the parish, we were reminded that Mary always leads us to Jesus and walks with us in every circumstance.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, lead us to our salvation!
