Sabado Ko, Kay Maria

Sabado Ko, Kay Maria

In loving devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our parish community gathered once again for Sabado Ko, Kay Maria on August 15, fortunately the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was a grace-filled day of prayer, reflection, and communion with God through the loving intercession of our Blessed Mother.

The morning observance began at 5:50 AM with the Angelus, followed by the Holy Rosary, Lauds, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Rev. Fr. Dennis Tamayo, CMF, and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Jay Coching, CMF. After the mass was the praying of the Novena and Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The morning concluded with the blessing of religious articles and images.

In the afternoon, parishioners gathered for the 4:00 PM Holy Hour at the Main Church, officiated by Fr. Dennis, who also joined the other afternoon activities. This was followed by the 5 O’Clock Habit Prayer, Vespers, and the Novena and Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the lead groups who generously served and supported the day’s activities: Christian Family Movement, Pre-Cana; PREX; Extra-ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion; Eucharistic League; Stewardship Ministry; Temporalities Ministry; and Social Communications and Media Ministry. We also extend our special thanks to Malou Aquilizan, Coordinator of the Shrine Commission, who is overall in charge of the Sabado Ko, Kay Maria activities, for her dedicated service and coordination. Your faithful service and generosity help make this Saturday offering to Our Lady a beautiful and prayerful one.

As we continue observing Sabado Ko, Kay Maria on the first and third Saturdays of the month, we warmly invite all parishioners and devotees to join us. Let us set aside these Saturdays as a special time to pray together as a parish family, deepen our devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and entrust our lives and intentions to God through our Blessed Mother.

May Mary continue to lead us closer to her Son and teach us to treasure all things in our hearts with faith, humility, and love.

“Mary, our Mother, help us form our heart to become like the heart of Jesus and keep us always close to Him.”
